Rachel Harrison ist Meisterin des cozy Horror, oder mildem Horror. Sie kreiert in ihren Büchern eine fesselnde Spannung und lässt mich beim Lesen immer wieder wundern, was nun wirklich passiert. Ihre weiblichen Hauptfiguren haben Raum zu wachsen und in ihren Abenteuern zu entfalten. In Cackle habe ich beim Lesen oft gefragt „Nein, wirklich?!“ und mich dann über die Entwicklung der Figuren gefreut. Zugegeben auch, weil die Hauptfigur zum Anfang sehr naiv ist. Leichter unterhaltsamer Horror mit einer Prise Frauenpower.
Leider gibt es die Bücher bisher nicht übersetzt. Als nächstes freue ich mich auf Sharp Teeth, wo es um eine Werwölfin geht. 🐺
