Isabel Cañas is a Mexican-American speculative fiction writer. After having lived in Mexico, Scotland, Egypt, Turkey, and New York City, among other places, she has settled in the Pacific Northwest. She holds a doctorate in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations and writes fiction inspired by her research and her heritage. (Text from her website)
She is known for her two novels „The Hacienda“ and „Vampires of El Norte“ which are both very high on my wish list. Luckily The Hacienda will finally be translated into german soon. Her writing leans toward horror and gothic literature, which I enjoy very much. And so is this short story today. A little bit dark. I hope, you’ll enjoy it nonetheless.
See you tomorrow 😀
